For years I struggled with diet. I’ve enjoyed exercise most of my adult life, in a way, that was the easy bit. It was always the eating side that was the biggest challenge.

I’d read books and articles by fitness trainers who had the sort of bodies I wanted and my heart would sink when they said things like “I don’t even eat cake on my birthday” or “I’d never put alcohol in my body”. In the end I just got to a point where I thought, ‘well, I just don’t want to live like that, maybe I have to accept that I’ll always have some extra fat’. And so I carried on eating in the same way.
blog-post-image22I’m so happy that I’ve found a different way. It doesn’t have to be about never letting a grain of sugar or drop of alcohol pass your lips, it’s about eating healthily most of the time.

Most days I don’t have cake or alcohol, but at the weekends I’ll often have a glass of wine in the evening and now and then I’ll indulge in something sweet.

If you’ve read my book, The Fat Burn Revolution, you’ll know that my eating mantra is “mostly healthy, most of the time”.

It works.

Here’s some advice from me on sorting your diet out.
