I’m not blessed with freak genetics that mean I can eat whatever I want and never gain an ounce. I also wasn't born with toned muscle definiton or even any special appititude for exercise - I used to hate school sports!

I've studied exercise science, with a special interest in metabolic, fat-burning workouts, since the early 2000's in my previous career as a health and fitness journalist.
